Being in college, you like to think of yourself as an adult who can basically take care of themselves. Well, nothing crushes that notion quite like getting sick and being stuck in a dorm without your parents.
I’m not ashamed to admit that when I woke up this morning with a virus that had literally taken over my entire body, the first thing I thought was that I wanted to be home. (And I wanted my mom’s chicken soup.)
Being 150 miles away from home is great when you don’t want any rules or regulations but when you have been transformed into a child by sickness, there is nothing worse.
